It is based on two sites (Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital). The Trust is in the top 5 largest trusts in England and provides acute care for a local population of 600,000 and over 1.2 million people for tertiary services. The Trust employs over 6,000 people and has an annual turnover of over £500 million. ==Management== Phil Morley was appointed Chief Executive in October 2010. He was offered a salary of up to £190,000 a year but accepted £170,000 instead. His focus on targets produced widespread reports of managers bullying staff to improve performance. Seven neurologists wrote to Morley concerned at the merger of a neurology ward with a stroke ward. Some consultants left. In 2014 he left to take up a post as chief executive of Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. He was replaced by Chris Long, former boss of Hull Primary Care Trust.
